John Beckett's post Magical Ethics: How You Do Anything Is How You Do Everything is possibly the most clear and rational examination of the topic I've yet come across. Here are some of my favourite 'moments' -

Very true. People have gone overboard with codes of ethics regarding card reading, too. I think Andy had the best answer to the "no third party readings" one: Do you talk about other people? Card reading ethics are the same as regular ethics. ;)
