DeleteDespite practicing Lenormand for a few years now, I never read the PL sheet. This was my first time. I'm dumbfounded by how much meanings have changed over the years. We have tweeked and retweeked meanings until some are very different from the original. Whoa!
ReplyDeleteYes, there are some very different meanings in circulation these days. But then again, what authority did this "Philippe LeNormand" person have? We all know Mlle Lenormand never used these cards. Someone arbitrarily created meanings for them. Do we have to stick to those meanings? You know me, I always favour tradition. But every tradition was once an innovation. What I'm getting at is, "rethink" if you feel it's important but, ultimately, the meanings you choose to work with are as valid as any others.
